Creative Visions Foundation supports “creative activists:” people who use media, the arts and technology to create awareness of critical issues and catalyze positive change in local and global communities.
Creative Visions Foundation was founded by Dan Eldon’s mother and sister, Kathy Eldon and Amy Eldon Turteltaub following his death in Mogadishu working as a photographer for Reuters News Agency in 1993. The foundation was formed to celebrate Dan Eldon and others like him who use their creativity as a means of positive social change.
Creative Visions Foundation’s Dan Eldon traveling exhibit, Journey: Images of War/ Celebrations of Peace will be at the Santa Monica College Gallery in February and March 2009. During that time, Creative Visions Foundation in association with Campus Movie Fest, will be sponsoring the first ever, CREATIVE ACTIVIST FILM FESTIVAL.
